Karl and Samantha got married this summer at St Michael's church in Great Oakley, then went on to the Corby-Kettering Holiday Inn for their reception. They are both Peterborough United supporters, something which was reflected in their choice of colour scheme, and also in the messages stuck to Karl's shoes!
Here is their story in their own words...

How we first met:
We first met while out in Stamford with friends. We first spoke in The London Inn pub.
When I knew she was the one:
When I kicked a football as sweet as I ever could and as straight as I could and it hit Sam straight in the face and she didn’t even flinch.
The one thing we love most about each other:
The love we show for our daughters and how we have watched each other grow into parents.

You may not know, but:
He likes to joke and thinks he’s funny however...
Karl proposed at Danny and Claire’s (best man/bridesmaid) Christmas Day 2014. He asked Jack, Karl’s godson, our ring bearer, to pass Sam a box while he got down on one knee.

Why we chose our wedding ceremony and reception venues:
We attend St Michaels, we love Fr Anthony’s services and our daughters were both christened there . The Holiday Inn was lovely inside, right next to our home so we can drive past it every day and it was available on the day we wanted it.
What led us to choose Mike Brown Photographic for our photography:
We liked the work we could see and the different approach of using a slideshow

Some of the most memorable moments in the day:
At breakfast, Trisha said, “I’m sure you’ll hear this lots, are you nervous lots”
Standing in the church with Danny and Rob.
Seeing Annie & Sam walking down the aisle
Going to shake Sam’s Dad’s hand and Sam saying, ‘He’s passing you my hand’
Anastasia throwing the blue petals at my dress
The girls sleeping A LOT
The best man laughing as he clocked onto our first dance song being a slow version of Reach for the Stars.
How we felt about how the photography went:
We had a family holiday to Cornwall which was lovely and relaxing.
Our advice for couples starting to plan their wedding:
A wedding is JUST a one day celebration... Don’t stress. A marriage is for life, spend your time, money and effort on making the memories last forever.
