I Love This Photo: Little Bridesmaids Find The Fun

A cold December day, the bridesmaids safely delivered to the church. But then the car gets delayed going back for the Bride. The grown-ups huddle in a doorway. What do the bridesmaids do? Dance, of course!

My wife has a saying with our grandsons – “Let’s find the fun!” Kids have a way of being in the moment that frees them from the worries that can weigh us older ones down. Not just a life lesson, but a photo opportunity. And a good reason to get photos of little ones early in the day, before all the fun “rearranges” their special outfits.

Technical info:

1/160 sec at f/4 and ISO 200. I was actually set up ready to get a photo of the Bride arriving in the car, or I would have increased the f-stop to make sure both girls were fully in focus. But sometimes it’s more important to catch the moment than fiddle with settings.
