Wedding venues: Barton Hall Hotel

September 13, 2017

Barton Hall Hotel must be one of the loveliest wedding settings in the north of Northamptonshire. It is situated in Barton Seagrave, just outside Kettering. Though it is lies close to the main road, it is well protected from traffic by a stone wall and tall trees. The main house is Grade II listed, and the Orangery is Grade II listed. First built in 1550, the hall became the home of Charles Wicksteed, the founder of Wicksteed Park in 1904. After his death, it went through various uses, until it finally became the current hotel and wedding venue.

To get from the rooms to the Orangery, the Bridal party is usually led through the restaurant area. This keeps them out of sight from everyone in the Orangery until the last moment.
