How we first met:
Emma was a neighbour of one of my best friends, who I used to knock on the door for every morning. When playing out with him we would call for his neighbour Emma and we used to go round and we got closer and closer.
When I knew he/she was the one:
Michael (Groom): I knew Emma was the one when we embraced my passion for gaming when we used to play on the playstation together, mainly the dance mat.
Also the love and comfort from her when we used to relax on watch films together. Our love might have taken a pause however when our lives crossed again the same love was there from the first meeting.
Emma(Bride): I knew Michael was the one when we use to relax and watch tv/films together and that he was able to put up with my moodiness.
I love how honest and caring Michael is towards me. I am so glad that we have come back into each others life as i love him so much and could not imagine my life without him.
The one thing we love most about each other:
Michael (Groom): The way Emma pretends something doesn't bother her but I know deep down it does because she thinks that she has to play it cool.
Emma(Bride):The way he annoys the hell out of me but always manages to make me smile.
You may not know, but ...:
Michael (Groom): When Emma doesn't like doing something but she does well at it. Surprise she pulls a funny/silly face and breaks into a smile that she was trying to hold back.
Emma(Bride): How he just makes a joke out of anything even if its serious.
Michael (Groom): We went to a hotel for a meal and to stop over. On the way we got stuck behind a wedding car and Emma moaned the hold journey about weddings. However over dinner I proposed to Emma with a lot of nerves. There was a quite but excited yes and a geeky smile from me.
Emma(Bride): To be truthful yes i did see it coming as the whole car journey Michael was very shifty and nervous but when he did propose i was slightly speechless and very excited all at the same time. Michael was also very emotional during this time.
Why we chose our wedding ceremony and reception venues:
We chose the Haycock in Wansford to the wedding ceremony and reception venue as it was great for our size of wedding. Also we planned for rain so it had great photo opportunities with the interior and exterior, as it was an old building with great stone internal walls.
What led us to choose Mike Brown Photographic for our photography:
Mike was at the East of England wedding fair and came across very friendly and not forcing his ideas upon us. Also Mike did a great slideshow with is different from other photographers.
Some of the most memorable moments in the day:
Michael (Groom): Crying in the Grooms speech but making others cry with happiness.
Emma(Bride): Saying our vows, high fiving khian on the way out of the ceremony, being surrounded by friends and family.
How we felt about how the photography went:
Great the group photo didn't work well but it captured the day well.
Mike took his time with us to get the right shots.
We went to Crete for 7 nights. It was beautiful and so relaxing.
All the staff at our hotel were so nice and helpful, even giving Emma and birthday cake and a bottle of wine. The hotel staff were so caring making the honeymoon amazing.
We had a swimming up room, so no need for racing to pool. We could just relax, take our time and do what we want.
Our advice for couples starting to plan their wedding:
Plan early, list everything you want and put a budget down. Stick to the budget and do not settle.
Planning early should allow for you to shop around.
